In what seems to be a long time ago , I used to blog quite alot. Back then, Tumblr wasnt invented, WordPress was new and exciting and Blogger was not owned by Google. My blog used to be called “ITT – ITTazee” and it was sort of a mini ‘tech’ news blog for Middle East/South Asia. It was popular (50,000 readers over 3 years) , gave me great positioning on Google (number 1 for many terms) but most of all, fun to write and from what I hear, beneficial for many of my readers.
Since moving to Canada in 2009 though, It did not seem apt to continue writing about a region I would eventually be no longer able to expertly write about. I started an MBA (more on that later), got very involved at work and slowly let the old blog die a long painful death on the internet. Which is a shame but the old has to go to make room for the new… (note to self – next time, just delete the DB and put up a nice notice – do not let semi-popular blogs slowly die on the internet.. bad bad bad).
But the bug to write, share, rant and otherwise converse has not gone away, which is a good thing. Nowadays I build applications, involved heavily in the business of delivering technology. My life revolves around making technology usable so that it is almost transparent to its users. This blog is an attempt to capture thoughts, ideas, best practices and cool stuff I come across in the business of software. (Hopefully it is more useful content and less ranting but there may be a rant here, or there, I’ll offer a disclaimer where I can)
